Our Story

A practice built around the people who walk through our door

Phuengpha Legal was founded on the belief that sound legal advice and human warmth are not opposites. We work quietly, honestly, and at a pace that respects each family's needs.

Who We Are

The story of Phuengpha Legal

Phuengpha Legal was established in Bangkok to offer something the legal sector does not always provide: a genuinely unhurried, compassionate space for families facing difficult moments. Our name — "Phuengpha" — draws on the Thai word for hope, reflecting a founding intention to help people find a clearer path forward.

The practice was started by solicitors who had each spent years in larger firm environments and noticed how often family clients felt rushed, confused by terminology, or simply unheard. They chose to build something smaller and more attentive — a practice where every client receives the time they need, not just the time that fits a billing target.

Today, Phuengpha Legal works with individuals and families across Bangkok and the surrounding provinces. Our caseload is intentionally kept manageable so that each person's matter receives genuine care, not just competent processing.

Our Mission

What guides everything we do

Patience as a professional value

We do not treat patience as a courtesy — it is a working method. People understand and make better decisions when they are not pressured.

Absolute discretion

Family matters are personal. We handle every case with the same care for privacy we would want for our own families.

Plain language, always

Legal documents can be technical. We make sure our clients understand what every document says before anything is signed.

Children first

Where children are involved, their wellbeing shapes every recommendation and every document we draft.

Our Team

The people behind the practice

Each member of our team was chosen for knowledge, care, and the ability to make clients feel heard.

Our Approach

Family law that works for real families

Family legal matters in Thailand involve a specific set of rules — from the Civil and Commercial Code provisions on marriage and children, to the procedures of the Thai Family Court. At Phuengpha Legal, we navigate these provisions carefully on behalf of each client, applying the law in ways that reflect real family situations rather than textbook scenarios.

We serve clients from Bangkok and the wider central region, as well as international residents whose family matters are governed by Thai law. Our familiarity with court procedure in the Bangkok Courts of First Instance and the Appeal Court means we can advise clearly on what to expect, whether or not a matter proceeds to litigation.

Most of the families we work with find that cooperative approaches — shared parenting arrangements, jointly drafted agreements, mediated understandings — serve them better in the long run than contested proceedings. We are experienced in supporting both routes, and we will be straightforward about which is more appropriate for each situation.

A first consultation with us is a private conversation. You ask what you need to ask. We listen, explain, and leave you with a clear written summary. From there, you decide what to do next — on your own timeline.
